Buca di Beppo

We had a delicious Italian dinner at the famous Buca di Beppo in Santa Monica. We had Angelo Pizza, seafood pasta, parmesan chicken, a scrumptious pork dish, yummy salad, and I had a Lemon Basil Mojito to drink. This was one of the best Italian dishes I've had in a very long time.

Grace, Jenny, Pearl, Whoony, Laura Kim and her husband, Tony, Soojin, HyeJin, James, Sarah, and I were there. It's pretty loud and fun there.

This is where Sarah and I had our first date. The boisterous atmosphere led to some fortunate miscommunication for us on our date. When Sarah said, "I like this salad. Do you like this?", I thought she asked if I liked her. I smiled and told her, "Yes. I like you." She laughed at my mistake. Also, a waiter kept putting stuff on a shelf over my head. Sarah noticed this and said that I should move one seat over to my right. I confused her hand signals and thought she wanted me to sit next to her, so I got up and sat beside her. Needless to say, these little faux pas worked out to be quite beneficial. It got us closer together since we were able to laugh about it. Now, we ended up married. Who knows if this would have happened had we gone to a quiet restaurant. Anyway, I know that I've told this story before in one of my first posts of this blog, but I like telling it anyway.

You can read more in my post entitled "First Date".
