Last Saturday, July 8, 2006, I went back to conquer El Prieto. There are a lot of side trails off the El Prieto singletrack trail in Pasadena nearby JPL. Last time, we got lost and went off course while riding down one of El Prieto's many forks in the road. We knew there had to be more to it since we read so many good things about it on mountain bike websites. Fortunately, this past Saturday, we rode the whole trail down. Boy, was it fun, but technical! Here's a shot of me going down a crazy steep angled slope before crossing the stream. What a blast! Posted by Picasa

Boy that looks like fun. Unfortunately we do not have such trails for mountain biking. It's a government thing, I guess -_-!

Hey, Yangwook!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Next time you should visit me in the States. Give me your email so that we can keep in touch.

Dicey, mountain biking is the best! You should try it as soon as possible.

It's really fun to bike without my helmet because it gets so hot. I'm so cool because I never fall, so it's OK. Well, I fell last time at El Prieto, but my skills prevented me from landing on my head. But if I did, well, what's a little scratch when it's so hot and the nice ventilated helmets cost so much.

Thanks guys for supporting my helmetless biking. You know how I get a thrill from risk taking with city lugeboarding and all. You guys are the greatest!

Whatcha smoking? Isn't it illegal to bike with a helmet?

The previous post was not written by me, but by a crazed fan named Hui.

No, it's not illegal to bike without a helmet if you're over 18.

That's one crazy gal. Thinking she knows what you do and think. Sheesh... where'd in world did she get that idea? ???

So all us normal fans can be rest assured that you don't really think those crazy thoughts? Right?

Regardless what does she care if you hurt yourself. Some people...

You're not making much sense.

What crazy thoughts am I thinking??

I'm being sarcastic.

Your posts clearly convey that you don't take your safety seriously, which is in agreement with the spoof post. It may as well be you talking.

Get a helmet and be safe.

I'm sure your friends care about your safety, although their sense of humor might be a little strong.

Dear Anonymous,

Thanks for your concern. I guess I will start wearing a helmet. Although I would think you're crazy for wearing a helmet in the hot 110 degree weather we're having lately. I will probably pass out from heat exhaustion if I do wear one though. Lucky for me, I would be wearing my helmet if I fall down from getting knocked unconscious due to this terrible heat.
